TELEVISION/RADIO
She was interviewed twice by FOX AND FRIENDS, CNN, CNNfn, DUBLIN 2, and for radio, THE JIM BOHANON SHOW, BEV SMITH SHOW, and others. OPRAH requested manuscript, of AMERICAS NEW FUTURE for possible inclusion on her program.
She MODERATED AND PRODUCED 3 Television Series. In "THE CHANGING WOMAN" series, Dr. McCoy discusses the art of balancing highly successful careers with family, friends and future goals with interviewees including: First Ladies, Betty Ford, Rosalynn Carter, Mrs. L.B. Johnson and Senator Edward Kennedy, Arnette Strauss, Mayor of Dallas, Walter Cronkite, Dick Cavett, and many more.
Dr. McCoy MODERATED/PRODUCED 20 television specials on Today's Family. Attended each of the Official UN International Conferences on Women held in Mexico City, Kenya, Africa and Beijing, China. A TV Special "WOMEN OF THE WORLD" featured her interviews with UN delegates from Asia, Europe, Africa and the USA which was shown throughout the United States.
A 16 program TV Series, "EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION", was used as instruction for business, law enforcement, hospitals and universities, and aired on PBS stations throughout the U.S. She videotaped, moderated, produced and edited two International Specials: "QUEST FOR THE CURES" (in Ecuador) and "THE CHANGING AMAZON" (in Peru)
HONORS AND DEGREES
Listed in WORLDS WHO'S WHO OF WOMEN: Named "Woman of the Year" by CHARTER 100 and the LOS ANGELES FILM WELFARE LEAGUE, "Woman of Achievement" by the NATIONAL LEAGUE OF AMERICAN PEN WOMEN. She earned a MA at Stanford University and Ph.D. in Educational Psychology, Claremont Graduate University with an educational honor of Phi Kappa Delta. She was honored by Muskingum College as Alumnus of The Year.
ACTIVITIES
A Founder, President of Charter 100, Co-led Expeditions, carrying the UN and Explorers Club Flags to Ecuador searching for medicinal plants for possible cures for AIDS, malaria and cancer. Twice carried the flag for the Explorer's Club in the Peruvian rain forests and did research in 16 other rain forests (Asia, South and Central America, Borneo), a member of the National League of American Pen Women, a swimmer, and adventurer to remote areas of the world.
